What we're up against: privatization.

The movement to privatize schools is diverting billions of public funding from public schools into private pockets.

How privatization is being engineered.

The stakes

The alarming rise of privatization.

Students are losing necessary resources — most acutely impacting our special education students. Educators are losing their jobs, and the educators that remain are too often forced to manage impossible caseloads and class sizes for a salary that has never provided a livable wage. Neighborhoods and communities are being fractured, as neighborhood public schools have been forced to close due to under-enrollment.

The growing privatization movement has placed immense pressure on educators and families across Colorado Springs, driving us to organize to win safe, well-resourced, and joyful public neighborhood schools.
